Default can't expand distribution list

Yes. DL's never survive an in place upgrade. Neither do a lot of other
settings and Outlook data.
Any time you attempt an in place upgrade, you must immediately create a New
Outlook profile and connect your previous data file to it correctly by
opening it in the new profile and setting it as your default PST file.
In place upgrades of Outlook are never a good idea.

By Expand I mean to display all of the DL's seperate addresses in "To" box
in
a new email, allowing me to delete some.

By Bring Up DL, I mean to bring up the window in which the DL is
peremently
modified.

Most of the DL were mirgated in by Outlook automatically when I upraded
from
2003 to 2007. Was there something else I was supposed to do?

Thanks!

Post is too unclear. We have no idea what the difference is between
"expand"
and "bring up the DL" from your description.
DL's from earlier versions will not work unless you migrated your data
correctly, which I suspect you did not.

No, none of them do. Most of them were created in 2003, but one was in
2007
w/Business Contacts.

For fun I created a a test DL (sitll no [+]), and it would expand if I
double clicked the DL name. However, wiht the other DLs, double
clicking
brings up teh DL itself (as if I opened it in Contacts), leading me to
think
that deleting a name woudl permently remove it.

Do any of your DL's contain the +?
How and in what Outlook version did you created these DL's? Where do
they
reside?

news I am working in Outlook 2007. I want to send an email from a
distibution
list, but exclude a couple of people from the list, but for soem
reason,
the
[+] icon is missing, so I cannot expand the list.
