Default Contacts information imported but not usable

I discovered the problem: under email, I needed to create separate columns
for email address, email type, and email display name, and then map each
under email using the custom mapping tool.

Before, I had the first two but the third was blank. The import function
created the third item, emaildisplayname, so everything looked okay in
contacts but wouldn't work for sending email.

The emails are resolved email addresses. they are media emails from an

Outlook's import routine does not work as expected. Never has and

never will.
