Default Outlook 2003 will not open in Vista

You'd still need to create a mail profile then. You can create a mail
profile without a mail account configured as well.

Robert, thanks very much for the response. I'm not intending to use
Outlook for mail at present - I will use Windows Mail (OE). I want to use
it solely for contacts and calendar functions.
