Could be......

I have Outlook 2007. The favorites folder
used to have items like 'unread or maybe
'unread from contacts.'
At any rate the favorite folder now has 2 things.
'Sent Items' and 'Inbox'.
I know I can drag folders to the favorites, but
I can't find either of the folders I mentioned above.
"I want a unread mail, and unread" mail from contact.
Any ideas?
I appreciate any thing you can tell me.

Look in Search Folders in the folder view - you should see one called
Unread
Mail - drag that to your Favorites pane. If it's not there, you can
create
one.

This is all that is in the search directory on my machine.
categorized mail
for follow up
large mail

Them create a new search folder - one of the options you will get is "unread
Mail"...
