Do you possibly have a program running on your machine in the background
that might be trying to access the address book? Maybe something like an
instant messaging program?

No matter what program I'm using, whether it be Outlook or IE7 or
anything,
the address book randomly opens up and takes focus. I looked in the

and tried the office diagnostics tool but was unsuccessful. The only other
option is a complete uninstall and reinstall but I'd rather not do that if
there is any other workaround or fix for this problem because reinstalling
is
