program and your mail account is not correctly set up in the program.
With the error message that you are getting it would not have worked
before your vacation, so something changed on the PC.
Was someone else using your PC while you were on vacation?
Did you install or uninstall some software when you came back or just
before you left? In particular anti-virus or anti-spam software?
Either of those can mess with your mail account settings.
Did you log on as a different Windows user? Each Windows user has
his
own Outlook Express settings.

that you are currently using to connect to the Internet.
