Default How come my email is stuck in my outbox?

for the marked read problem: http://www.slipstick.com/problems/outbox.htm

are you clicking F9 or the Send/Receive button? if so, are you getting any
errors in the progress dialog? (tools, send/receive, send/receive settings,
show progress.)

William, I did not change any settings...and, yes, I am on line....I have
a
cable hookup (comcast). I can receive email but when I send it goes right
to
the outbox and stays there. If I open the outbox it will sit on top of
the
list (in bold letters) and then it will change to italics and move to the
bottom of the list.

1) are you online at the time?
2) check your account settings? outbound smtp server is reachable?
