Default Mismatch between Local Folders Total Count &Actual Files

Folks,
I was wondering if the "wizards" who monitor this support list
can provide some insight into an issue I am having with Outlook Express 6.0

If I select Local Folders, I will get an accurate count of the files that are
in each of the folders (i.e.Inbox,Outbox, Sent Items, etc.).

However, if I select Inbox, I will only see the last email that was read.
All others are hidden.

Your symptom description isn't very precise.
E.g. one possible interpretation of it could be that you have
1. No Status bar; therefore you would not be able to see any counts
of the opened folder.
2. A main window layout consisting of only a Preview pane,
i.e., no Message list; hence you would only be able to see one message
at a time and have no awareness of any others.

However, in that case, if there is more than one message in that folder
you should at least be able to use View, Previous or Next (e.g. press Ctrl-
or Ctrl- or use the corresponding toolbar buttons.)

I checked the obvious, and I verified that I have Current View set to
"Show All Messages". If I click on Outbox (or any of the other sub-folders),
I will get the same results (i.e. Only the last message is displayed and all
the others are hidden...)

Has anyone seen this before? If so, what did you do co correct it??

Try turning the Preview pane off. Alt-V,L,p (or use the corresponding
toolbar button).
