How to ask a question: http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375

After furious head scratching, docjerry asked:

| This question is about Outlook Express 6(latest version). This is the
| closest forum available.
| I carefully followed the new account instructions from Windows Live
| Hotmail for importing into Outlook Express. Send/receive resulted in
| this message: There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your
| Password was rejected. Account: 'Hotmail', Server: 'pop3.live.com',
| Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR mailbox for
| is not available', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes,
| Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92mporting pop3 mail
| (Hotmail) into Outlook Express.
| The password and e-mail are correctly entered! Triple checked!
| For years this has worked fine, but since Windows Live Mail has been
| around, I've been having issues with OE downloading only Hotmail
| folders, but not the Hotmail inbox. In trying to debug this, I
| entered the new account settings for Windows Live Hotmail, and now I
| can't import anything.
| XP Home SP2, IE7 v.7.o.5730.13, OE6 v.6.00.2900.2180.
| I know Microsoft said they were no longer supporting OE, but later
| they changed their minds, and now they are supporting it again.
| Can anybody out there help me with this?
