Outlook 2007
The default calendar is my personal calendar.

The shared calendar is in the public folder. I tried adding it to my
favorites, but it still doesn't seem to allow the calendars to be viewed
side-by-side

Version of Outlook? Where is the shared calendar?

If it’s a public folder calendar, add it to your public folder favorites,
then it will be available in the calendar module.

I would like to view my personal calendar, and my corporate(public)
calendar
in the same window. All office help sites have given me options that
display
different private calendars side-by-side. However working with a
publicly
shared calendar has proven more difficult.
