I have 07 P. Viewer downloaded and installed on my win xp pro serv pack3 on
a
dell
I have to save attachments from outlk. ex 6 to desktop to then view it. I
don't understand the error message I get in my email (outlook express 6)
when
I click to open it there.
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action.Create an association in the folder Options control panel." How
does
anyone do this? There is no steps ,no instructions or anything,is there?
The program is there, but not for outlook express, but somewhere else on the
computer?

O.K.,
I have a friend that has an issue that is driving us crazy.
Perhaps we are overlooking something, but we did a lot of checking.
When we open a .pps attachment in outlook express 6 we get a message
that
there is no file association with that file and that we should go to
the
folder options and associate a file to open that extension.
We checked it and the association is with Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer
or
Microsoft Powerpoint which is the correct association.
We had downloaded before the "Powerpoint Viewer" and it has confirmed
installation.
IF we drag or save the attachment to the desktop and click on it, it
will
open up normally with the Powerpoint viewer.
It just will not associate with Powerpoint when we try to open up the
attachment directly from the e-mail.
Unchecked is the "Do not allow attacvhments that may contain a virus"
box
in
options in OE.
Any Ideas???
