Default Name Order

It wont fix existing contact's, only ones you create later.

You'll need to use VBA to change existing items

I have done that a couple of times and unfortunately, it didn't solve the
problem.

Go to Tools, options, contacts - set the order you type the name in and
the
display name.

We are running Outlook 2007. I have looked through all the threads and
found
a question similar to mine, but there was no solution given.
We have set the name order as "Last name, First name." In Outlook
2000,
when creating a new contact, we could type in "John Smith" and the
contact
would appear correctly as "Smith, John." In Outlook 2007, when we type
in
"John Smith," the contact appears as "John, Smith." Is there a way to
be
able to type in "John Smith" and have the contact appear as "Smith,
John?"

Also, is there a way to have the display default to "Name and Company
Name"
without having to select it from the drop-down?

Thanks for your assistance. Hopefully I have given enough information
to
receive a response.

Susie
