Default spell checker in OE6

You're welcome. I have never had Office installed and always used the
Vampirefo spell check. It works just fine if the proofing tools suggestion
gives you any headaches.

Thank you Bruce. That is the exact problem.

I have Office 2007 installed on that machine. I will check your suggestion
to install the proofing from my office 2003 disk.

And thank you for the great Outlook Tips site. That will come in very
handy now that I am using Outlook for mail on that machine.

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in
Outlook Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974

Outlook Express cannot use the MS Word spell check in Office 2007.
Downloading a free spell check is the simplest way around this.

Vampirefo:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952

TinySpell:
http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ (Checks the spelling as you type).

Australian English Spell Check
(Also suitable for other English speaking countries.)

If you have a previous version of Office, see this:

Windows XP, IE6, OE6

My spell checker in OE6 is using a French dictionary. How do I get it to
be the english dictionary?

thanks,
