I would check your System Time:
- Click on your clock near the bottom of your computer screen.
Then check your time as set in your Outlook program:
- Open your TOOLS menu
- Select the OPTIONS item
- Click the CALENDAR OPTIONS... button
- Click the TIME ZONE... button
Are you set for the correct time zone on both?

Office 2007; appointment reminders show up in my inbox AFTER the schedule
appt time (which is correct in the calendar) and state a time that is approx
8 hours AFTER the appt.
Using the help; tools; options does not show a way to make a correction or
determine why this is happening.
