Paper Clip When There Is No Attachment In IE6
Either your friend is reading in Plain Text and the e-mail contains HTML, or
they are using AVG (a good program) and have e-mail scanning enabled.
Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as
time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will
continue to protect you sufficiently.

A friend's email to me always shows a paper clip even though there is no
attachment to the message. Emails from others don't show a paper clip on
messages without attachments.
Would someone please suggest what might be causing this to happen?
Thank you.
