Are you using the Calendar printing assistant? It assigns a color to a
calendar, not color categories.
Outlook 2007 can only print color category colors on some printers - I know
HP's are a problem - HP blames Outlook security. It think its HP drivers and
the shade of the colors.

No; different colors are reserved for different calendars - so you could
copy the colored items different folders before printing but that is
