If you are still having that problem... try to install the latest Microsoft
Office Service Pack 3... I was having the exact same problem and I found
that solution on the Microsoft Knowledge Base... if you want more details,
do not hesitate to read the whole thread: "Gmail & Outlook 2002 Issue" that
was posted yesterday... (you'll find it in this newsgroup list below!!!!)

I'm having somewhat the same problem, only I can send sometimes and then I
can't . I just tried to send to messages, one went the other didn't. The
error message gave the number 0x800CCC78. I checked with my ISP, then
