I've done this but the archived data is still not accessible. I get a pop up
that tells me I need to find the correct program to open the file with. Any
ideas how to open the archived folder?

Why are you importing a native Outlook file into Outlook? Do you import Word files into a new version of Word??
Copy the .pst file from the old PC to the new one and use File-Open-Outlook Data File from within Outlook.

After furious head scratching, Bucky asked:
| I just added a new pc to sbs 2003 network, I also installed OL 2007
