Default How do I easily reinstall or fix Outlook Express 6?

Thank You Bruce for the info. I wanted to wait until my mind was clear & the
stars were aligned, before I started changing my registry.

I just opened a MS Game on CD. On the Taskbar (which normally is not
visible), there were several "new message" windows from Outlook Express. I
closed all but one, wrote myself a note, clicked address book, and A Pop Up
appeared "experienced difficulty, must close, loose work". In the lower
left hand corner of this pop up was a "box" with "Debug" - I clicked it. A
couple seconds passed - the window closed. I then went to Outlook Express,
clicked "write message" - it did, clicked "Address Book" and there it was.
I just tried it again, and it seems the stars were aligned just right, I
clicked the right box, and Outlook Express is back to its old self. Amazing.

Although written for WinXP, it works for all Windows operating systems 98 or
newer.

If you are using WinXP/SP2, and it was not already on your computer from the
factory, you will have to remove SP2 first.

I've had OE for years. I have Windows XP. I previously installed Office
2000
- then took the trial for Office 2003. I removed Outlook 2003, because
the
system will not run both Outlook 2000 and 2003 at the same time. While in
Excel 2003, I ran REPAIR. Wrong move, Outlook 2003 came back AND Outlook
EXPRESS suffered damage. I cannot access the Address Book - corrupt - AND
I
cannot open Compose Email.

Today, I UNinstalled (removed) Office 2000 AND Office 2003 (trial) And
installed Office 2003 Pro. Now I want my wonderful Outlook Express Fixed.
I
read about fooling with the registry. EEE. I also exported ALL my OE
files
to my new Office Outlook 2003 file for safe keeping, while I FIX Outlook
Express.

Is there an easy way to fix Outlook Express?
