I am starting to use a used XP home SP2, laptop with OE 6.00.2900.2180
(xpsp_sp2_rtm 040803) and IE6 and links within HTML email preview pane do
not open the browser when clicked. Links show as active, but just don't open
a browser window, or change an open window.

I have looked through all the settings in IE6 and OE6 but can't seem to find
the setting that allows me to open the browser from the OE message link. Any
suggestions as to what I need to do to get this to work?

By the way, I can copy and paste the links into IE and they work fine. Also
I am running ZoneAlarm but have both IE and OE marked with full permissions.
AVG also running.
