May be relevant: Is MS Outlook also installed?
1. Enable Show Hidden Files and Folders =
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...utorial62.html
2. Open a Windows Explorer Search window (WinKey+F) | Check the Advanced option and the two options directly underneath it | Enter the following in the topmost search box then click on Search Now button:
*.wab*
3. For each OE identity running in your User Profile (cf.
http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm), the Search results should yield:
• a WAB file (e.g., JOEKIRK.WAB) and
• a WAB~ file (e.g., JOEKIRK.WAB~ )
The WAB~ file is the back-up Address Book maintained automatically by Windows for each identity (in WinXP SP2 and SP3).
4. Copy the WAB~ file corresponding to your usual identity's WAB file to your clipboard then Paste it to your desktop | Right-click on the desktop file and Rename it with a WAB extension and adding the numeral one (1) to the name (e.g., rename JOEKIRK.WAB~ to JOEKIRK1.WAB) | Double-click on this renamed file to open it: Does it contain the missing Folder?
NB: Don't "do" anything else with it yet, just open & examine it.
In your next reply to this thread, tell me if the renamed file on your desktop contains the missing Folder and tell me this file's name (e.g., JOEKIRK1.WAB).

Good question. I'm referring to a folder of email addresses I accidentally deleted and which was part of my address book.

What is an "email address directory (e.g., a Folder or Group in Address Book
or the Address Book itself)?
Is MS Outlook also installed?
