Need confirmation on appointment delete
There's only confirmation on permanent deletes, not the transitory ones that
pass through the Deleted Items folder. You might be able to write code to do
what you want but that's not my forte...

We use shared calendars that are part of a shared mailbox that every user
has
(full) access to because it's not possible to set granular autorisations
on
calendars owned by another user.
And yes, deleted appointments do end up in the user's PERSONAL deleted
items, but we can not check the deleted items of every user all the time.
I
would expect that a pop up confirmation on deletes would be a standard
provision in Outlook. The fact that it's not makes the calendar exetremely
vulnerable for accidental deletes and moves (a slip of the mouse is enough
to
move your appointment to another time without noticing it...).
