You can add a ref onto Excel via Tolls/References and copy this code into
"ThisOutlookSession":

Via right-click on any toolbar you can customize it, select Commands/Macros
and drag the macro "OpenXLFile" onto the toolbar.

Is it possible to add a custom button to the tool bar that would launch
someone into an excel file... like a hyperlink? I am an outlook
programming
newbie so any help is appreciated
