Default Outlook - rebuilding Inbox

if it is rebuilding, it sounds like its getting deleted. This only happens
when he switches from VPN to the office network, right, not when he uses
vpn?

He says rebuilding, but I didn't see it.

Thanks,

Is it checking the PST or actually rebuilding it?

I have a user running Outlook 2003 and it works fine in the office on
the laptop. When he is at home, he loads his vpn, loads Outlook and
works. When finished, closes Outlook, closes vpn and windows.
The next day when he loads Outlook, Outlook has to rebuld his Inbox...?
I know it is rebuiling his OST file.
Does anyone know why this might happen, after working remotely...?

Thanks,
Tom...
