Default copying appointment between calendars

I just need to know a few things to be able to help you as we cannot see
what you are doing:

What version are you running?
Are all users on the same version?
How exactly are you trying to copy from one Calendar to the other and what
exactly happens when you try?

Regards

As a delegate to two managers, I am sometimes tasked to copy the
appointments
for a given week between the calendars. I can create appointments in
both.

This usually occurs due to unexpected higher level responsibilities where
the alternate supervisor is filling in for the primary.

If I try to drag the meeting/appointment from one calendar to the other, I
am told that the function cannot be performed and I should copy the item
to
place it in the receiving calendar. However, I have found no way to do
this
short of retyping the details into the time slot of the calendar needing
to
be updated.

Is there a copy function I'm not locating? Right clicking or "Edit",
"Copy"
do not appear to be available.
