"Enter Network Password" on Send/Receive
Via "Tools" menu, "E-mail Accounts" view/change then [Next], select your
account, [Change]...
In the "E-mail Accounts" dialog use [More Settings...]; in the "Internet
E-mail Settings" dialog, "Outgoing Server" tab, see if SMTP "Requires
authentication". The usual setting is use same password as POP3. It
could be that Comcast requires or does NOT require this.
Change this FROM what you see when you first look at the "Outgoing
Server" tab.
Back in the "E-mail Accounts" dialog use [Test Account Settings...]
Note that this happened to me when my email provider changed their
policy to require a SMTP password, the did not call me or send
snail-mail. Had to call them.

Anyone solve this problem yet? I have it as well and am going crazy. Pops
up every few seconds and interrupts my work.
I am on Outlook 2003 with Windows XP and I use Comcast and a host. This
only happens with the Comcast mail accounts.
Have you investigated these?
