How to ask a question: http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375

After furious head scratching, Dave asked:

| Hi All,
|
| I've been messing around with Outlook 2007 & now can't receive any
| e-mails.
|
| I'm running Vista Ultimate & have Bit Defender as an
| Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware program.
|
| I also had to reinstall Bit Defender as well, as it suddenly crashed
| on me around the same time.
|
| That works fine now (but I'm wondering if i've somehow block the
| incoming POP mail).
|
| I've tried adding another POP account to Outlook & that doesn't work
| either.
|
| Any ideas?
|
| Thanks,
|
| Dave.

I Tested the Account Settings & got the following errors:

Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Outlook cannot connect to your
incoming (POP3) e-mail server. .... contact server administrator or ISP.

Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP)
e-mail server. .... contact server administrator or ISP.
