Default copying appointment between calendars

Ahhh. How right you are. Thank you.

I did not say right click. DRAG with the right mouse button has worked in
every version of Outlook. When you release you can select from Move or Copy.

Nope, that was the original plan. Right click did not offer "copy", and
simply selecting and dragging was what gave me the error message telling
me I
couldn't move it and HAD to copy it. It would then pop back to the
original
calendar which is what prompted me to ask the question in the first place.

Glad you worked out a way to do it.

I would use the right mouse button to drag it to the destination
Calendar,
release and select Copy. There are many great functions under your right
mouse finger!

Sheesh! Found it.

Select Appointment, go to "Edit" and select "Copy", then move to the
appropriate other calendar and (making sure you are in the right time
slot)
go to "Edit" and select "Paste".

OR

Select the Appointment and hold down the "CTRL" key while dragging
which
will "Copy" the appointment across.

Again the key is to make sure you drop it in the correct time slot as
the
time will change to accomodate where you put it, it won't retain the
original
time information.

Thanks for helping me think it through.
