Default Remote Email Extraction

Hi Oliver,
I have just installed MS Office Pro 2007 and need to activate Outlook and it
insisted on configuring my email server. When I said no then outlook shutdown
but when I said yes it meant it trasferred all my incoming email from Tiscali
to outlook. My fear is if my PC goes u/s then I will not be able to access my
emails because I am using Outlook but if my emails remain within Tiscali
emailing system then at least I can logon to tiscali and then on to the their
mail system to access my emails.

I hope this may answer your question and also better understand what I was
originally asking. Any further thoughts? In the mean time I shall also try
what you suggested. Thanks.

Dear Kesh,

are you using an Exchange Server or alocal installation of Outlook with a
"PST" file?

If you use Outlook as "single" installation you can leave all your emails on
your "E-mail server" (provider) and you can download all your emails also
from another computer.

Have a look on this site :

"Leave e-mail messages on your e-mail server"
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...507931033.aspx

Maybe it helps.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to view the emails from my outlook
but
using another computer from another site? I ask this because if my
computer
fails then clearly I can not logon to Outlook on my computer till it is
repaired but I was wondering if I could see my emails using another
computer.
If there is a way then please keep your answers nice and simple please.
Thanks.
