Hi,
Whilst using Windows '98 I became accustomed to the non-docking feature of
the "Save Message As" feature whilst using "Outlook Express".
I would like to set up my Windows 2000 Professional using Outlook Express
6.0 to do the same (non-docking). Is it Possible?
Try using Cascade Windows? E.g. either select a pair or more Taskbar icons
using the Ctrl- key then right-click and select Cascade. To "cascade" just one
window you can minimize all windows (e.g. press Win-M) then restore the
one you want to apply the operation to and then right-click, Cascade Windows
in the Task bar.
BTW I like my OE windows to be always in the same place
but over towards the right. AFAIK all I had to do to arrange that
was just move one there and close it. If there had been more
than one OE window open at the time I would have made sure
that the one I moved was the last one closed. If that didn't seem
to make it stick I would have (resorted to Voodoo and) held down
a Ctrl- key while clicking the window's X Close box.
Thanks.
Good luck

Thanks, but that does not seem to work with Windows 2000/SP4 and OE 6.0. It
used to work beautifully with Windows '98 and OE 5.5.
I am sure you have heard of the "New and Improved" well this must be "New
and Degenerated".
I suppose I could always turn the screen upside down. But I would still not
be able to read the headers.
Stan.
