Default Default Meeting Length

If you create a new appointment by clicking the new button when in the month
view, it defaults to 30 min, if you use the day or week view, it uses your
setting.

I have set Customize Current View, Other settings, Time scale to 60
minutes, but new appointments still default to 30 minutes.

Is there anything else that needs to be set?
