shows items without reminders so you can set reminders - you can use these
fields in an autoformatting rule to highlight items.

Annoys me too.
I thought of an alternative. If you right click a meeting in Day view, you
can select automatic formatting and you can set a rule with a condition. I
did not yet figure out the exact rule but it will change the color of
meetings with a reminder.
