Neither the bttray.exe nor wbtapi.dll are native Outlook files.
Examine what addins you have that integrate with Outlook, remove them, and
try a repair installation of Outlook.
Failing that, uninstall the applications that use those files, reboot, then
uninstall Office and reboot again. Then try the install of Office again.

After furious head scratching, Rob Derby UK asked:
| My PC crashed so I had to recover it. Have installed Office 2003 and
