When I shut down Outlook 2003 the icon stays in the taskbar. Looking at
Process Manager Outlook.exe and WinWord.exe are still running and need to
be shutdown manually.

That worked itunes installed an add-in. (itunes Outlook Add-in) Why and what
it's for I have no idea.
