Just to update my original post, I recently installed Mozilla Thunderbird ,
and Thunderbird easily sends return receipts to the same sender that Outlook
Express 6 suddenly stopped sending return receipts too .
So something went wrong Outlook Express 6 ?

I have Outlook Express 6 on my WinXP Pro SP3 computer . And I have one
friend who always requests to have read receipts sent to her when someone
opens her e-mail. This worked fine for years, but lately whenever I open her
e-mails , Outlook Express gives me a error message that it is "unable to send
read receipt " .
And I don't have a clue what could be causing this problem. Any ideas ?
