Default How do I change the format of names in adress books

OK, I give up! I opened my computer today and the address books were sorted
properlly. I din't do anything or change anything. Something inside my
computer must have known I was upset -- Whatever it was I'm glad. I want to
thank you for all your time and effort.

We could if you told us what setting you chose for sorting and how that
setting is formatted in your Contacts Folder. Outlook just does what you
tell it to, but you haven't told us what that is.

Thanks to you and Russ. I've everything you've each suggested several
times,
just to make sure I did it correctly and no luck. I guess I'm out of luck
and will not be able to get my address books formatted correctly. If
either
of you come up with anything else I can try, please let me know.

Again, thanks for trying.

Brian, I never got notification of your response so I do apologize for
not
responding. I followed your suggestion and, after I closed and
re-opened
Outlook, I tried to send a new e-mail. When I opened my address book
it
was
still showing the names with the first name then last name format. Any
additional ideas?

Russ gave you the only other answer. Since you say you followed my
suggestion, you must have not set the sort order when you re-added the
Outlook Address Book service. Perform the steps Russ stated.
