Default can't send email vial outlook 2003

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I was'nt more clear about what I did. You said:

---"My outgoing server (SMTP) requires

authentication" and see if that helps----

I tried that when Mcspec suggested it.

I turned it of and on 3 or 4 times,

rebooted inbetween just in case.

I also tried every other combination of

checked boxes on that screen. That's why

I deleted the account, and set it up

again, etc.

I checked with bellsouth just to be sure

I had the smpt server name correct, and

it is what that say it should be. I also

use it, outlook, to manage a fastmail

account. fastmail.fm is the site. It

always worked, too, and it stopped working

the same way bellsouth did. Receives, and

no send. Both accounts worked flawlessly

for a long time.

The test message isn't conclusive evidence that your settings are
configured correctly. Click ToolsE-mail AccountsNext, select the
account through which you're sending, click Change, then More Settings.
On the "Outgoing Server" tab, check the box that says "My outgoing server
(SMTP) requires authentication" and see if that helps (which is what
Mcspec was telling you you should do).
