Odd. I can add a Group named "Test", and a Contact named "Test". The Group
icon and the Contact icon are different, and easily distinguished. I can
add the Contact named, "Test", in the "To:" field, and I can add the Group
named, "Test", in the "Bcc:" field. The result, on the receiving end, looks
like this:

Note that the "To:" field contains the defined contact name as a proper
name, and the defined contact email address; this corresponds to the
Contact entry named, "Test".
Neither Netscape Mail, nor AIM Mail (both use AOL MX servers to accept
email) show the "Envelope-To:" email address, so you don't have a clue that
your email address was included in the SMTP "RCPT TO" command. Here are
headers, to the same level, received at the Juno Mail account included in
the BCC:

The Juno MX server includes a "sender" field, and the Juno MDA includes the
destination email address.
MX=Mail eXhanger
MDA=Mail Delivery Agent
Each are a special type of SMTP server; the former accepts email for a
domain, the latter puts email into the destination mailbox.
