Default Outlook 2007 Contact Import - Exchange to No Exchange Server

do you still have the old system with the cached exchange acct? if so, you
need to see if you can add them to the contacts list then move it to the new
computer.

I have transfered Outlook Contacts from windows xp to vista. Outlook 2002
to
2007. On the 2002 version I had used an exchange server at one point in
time.
I no longer use the exchange server nor have access to it. On the older
computer I had no problems as all was cashed on that computer. With the
new
computer I now have a problem in opening the contacts that had been
downloaded from/used with the exchange server. The contacts in question
are
not visible in the contacts lists or categories. I do find them in a file
search indicating they are in their repective categories but I still can
not
open them even though I can see them. It is possible to open these
contacts
until I edit them and save changes. Then they disappear from the contacts
list and can only be found with a computer search. Is there something that
can be done to use the imported contacts on the new machine as I have
without
the exchange server.
