I'm using Outlook 2003 and this is happening to me too. It started when I

a BlackBerry and also synching Outlook with Google calendar. Older items

deleting from Outlook calendar. Then I get a message from Google Calendar
Sync: "Google Calendar Sync has detected that you have deleted 21 items.

will delete 21 events from your Google calendar. Proceed with operation?"

I'm not deleting, not autoarchiving, not finding any items in the Deleted
Items folder nor the Recycle Bin.

Deletions that occur due to synching a Blackberry (or any handheld device)
are permanent and do not use the Deleted Items folder. The Blackberry, by
default, deletes older items based on the time interval you have defined on
the Blackberry (which I believe is predefined as two weeks). Set the
Blackberry to keep old items indefinitely.
