Hi,
I am having similar problems.
I installed Outlook 2007 back in October 2007 and it worked perfectly.
In early February, my PC experienced a power shutdown and that damaged
various settings. I think that I have restored most of them but
Outlook 2007's e-mail and Tasks are beyond my
experience/comprehension.
I, too, cannot sent or receive e-mails through Outlook. Mozilla's
Thunderbird works (installed since the power problem) and Forte's
Agent continues to work merrily.
However, I prefer the all-encompassing Outlook for various purposes.
Test messages will not send correctly, or appear not to but, at
random, a (very) few of them do seem to arrive.
I am perpetually being told by Outlook that I cannot contact the ISP
server, in whatever mode I try.
I have not been able to send/receive e-mails since early Feb...
Turning to Tasks....
Whilst I have managed to get them back - they are in a separate 'User'
section and not in the main Outlook 'Tasks' section. How do I fix
this.
I have tried Windows Mail Profiles but either I do not understand them
properly or something may be wrong there also.
Although I have had Outlook in one form or another since the days of
Win3.11 (!) and used to consider myself reasonably experienced this
has totally baffled me.
I would greatly appreciate some guidance as to how to repair Outlook.
PS Uninstalling Office 2007 and reinstalling it does not work.
Regards
David
