Red X vs. Embedded image
Then the problem, whatever it is, is not on your end.

If you send yourself an HTML message with an embedded pic, do you see the
pic in the received message?

I have Outlook Express 6 and Internet Explorer 7. I received an e-mail
with
red x’s in place of some photos. I right-clicked the red x’s hoping to
find
a Show Picture link in the context menu, but it was not there.
I then clicked Tools, Options, Security tab in Outlook Express hoping to
find a check in the box labeled Block images and other external content
in
HTML e-mail, but it was unchecked.
I then went to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab, Multimedia heading
in
Internet Explorer hoping to find the box labeled Show Pictures
unchecked,
but it was checked.
I then went back to the sender of the e-mail and asked him:: 1. To go
to
Tools, Options, Send, Mail sending format, click on the HTML Settings
button, and make certain Send Pictures With Messages is checked. And
2.
To send the e-mail with the embedded pictures to his e-mail address. He
replied that the Send Pictures box was checked and he sent an e-mail to
himself and the pictures appeared.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to change the red x’s to the embedded
pictures?
