Default Contacts were deleted

Contacts can't be archived and archiving is not the same as backing up.
Unless you have a backup or the contacts were moved to the deleted items
folder, the contacts are lost.

My palm treo phone was stolen and the contacts were deleted. It was
synchronized with my e-mail so I lost them there as well. I tried to
retreive them from archived .pst files, but I only see e-mails restored.
When I archive, I archive the entire mailbox which includes calendar,
contacts, etc. so I assumed they would be there. Is there a way to get
them
back? If not, how do I archive them properly in the future?

Joe
