Default OE6 - Outlook

Outlook doesn't do newsgroups. This chore is still left to OE or whatever
3rd party program you are happy with.

Ok, thanks again.
How do I configure for that ?

Also, what about Newsgroups. In OE, my mail and newsgroups are together. I
can't seem to fing any newsgroup access in Outlook. Is that feature
available
?

Thanks,

Steve

Not unless you configure your accounts to leave a copy on the server so
both
apps will receive the mail
However mail sent with one app wont be visible to the other.
IMO better to stick with the one app
Since OE is primarily a pure email app theres not much of a learning
curve
for the mail part of Outlook

OK, thanks guys.

Also, can I keep both OE and Outlook for a while, meaning being able to
read
and respond to emails, etc from both OE and Outlook ? to make sure I'm
comfortable with Outlook, because I've used OE for years, and at my
age,
change is somewhat stressful. If it is possible to keep both, are there
any
special things I need to do ?

Thanks,

Steve

You have to create an Outlook profile first (which a wizard should

I've been reading the threads about changing from OE6 - Outlook,
and
they
appear to require configuring Outlook, but doesn't it get configured
via
the
installation wizardry ? It's not an additonal step/process is it ?

Thanks,

Steve
