Any idea why you couldn't export the account settings?

suppose they went?

When you export the account settings, you choose the destination. They
shouldn't be hidden, but try that option in your search.

Also, is it possible to rebuild Folders.dbx in a manner that maintains
folder and sub-folder organization?

No. But how many folders do you have? They only need to be dragged and
dropped so even if you had one hundred, it should only take about 10
minutes.

Do you ever backup OE? Doing so would allow you to restore it to its exact
state. (In the future, of course).

This freeware tool backs up everything in OE in seconds. Disregard what is
written in red. That is referring to a different program.

Create yet another identity. Do not use the word Main in the name.
Import all of the folders. Does the problem persist?

Compacting all folders does not change a thing either.
