Hi Mathews,

if you have exchange I would create a shared (empty) contact folder and you
can both copy the contacts into this folder. If you have duplicate contacts,
Outlook will ask you if you want to create the dupe or if you want to ignore
this. If you click on ignore, the dupe will not be create. If you only have
a few contacts (till hundred) you will need only a few minutes.

I would create the shared additional contact folder only to be sure that you
wouldn´t get dupes into your personal contact folders. ;-)
After you get all contacts in the shared contact folder you can delete your
personal contacts and copy the shared contact folder into your personal
contact folder.

Without Exchange Server you can Export your contact folder into a PST
file
and send him this PST file.

He do the same with his contacts in his contact folder. Then you can
import
his contacts from his PST file into your PSt and he can do the same.

Then you will have both the same contacts.
