Thank you for the quick reply Brian and for the web site. I spent some time
prerusing it. Part of my problem is that I didn't fully understand
completely what the help file was saying. Now I realize that the top folder
with the Outlook Today icon is that folder even though it was labeled
"personal files."

I would seem more intuitive to me if the Outlook Today page had its own
button in the Navigation Pane instead of requiring that the Navigation Pane
be expanded or that the short cut button be clicked and then the sub-menu
item clicked.

I used a program by Microsoft which allows automatic backup of the pst
files. I pointed it to an Outlook folder in My Documents so that it would be
included in my normal data back up. That was the file that I imported into
Outlook 2007.

Outlook Today is just the root of your PST. Right-click that root and choose
Properties, then Home Page. Click Restore Defaults.

Import/export is never the proper way to transfer data from one Outlook
instance to another. See this:
