Default in new event how do I stop end date updating

Version of outlook? Are you creating all day events or timed appointments?
What steps are you using when you create the event?

When I enter the start time in a new event, the end date automatically
changes to the following day. How do I stop this happening. Most of my
events start and finish on the same day so this is very irritating.
