Default Lost E-mails After Compressing Mail Folder

Justin wrote:
Hi,

My Sent Mail Items has reach 2GB Limit and I have move some mails to another
folder. Then I choose to compress the Sent Mail Items Folder. However, most
of my e-mail lost after the compression. I wonder what happens to my
mails?Thank you.

Almost forgot, during the compression, a warning message like "outlook
express is using the file" has prompted on the screen.

The limit is not 2GB. You should never let a .dbx file exceed 100MB. You
should *never* store messages in the default folders such as Inbox or
Sent Items. Store them in user created folders, made as sub-folders to
Local Folders. Hopefully, you have a back up. If not, there are paid
programs you can use to recover your emails.
