Thanks for the reply...
No, I'm not using any sync utility...and sorry I didn't post more pertanent
info (it's been a while since a posted an problem to a newsgroup)...
The computer is from MDG (in Canada) and is running Windows XP Home...
Also, Outlook does start when I boot the computer...the problem is that I
leave the computer on over night and despite the fact that I have shutdown
Outlook (including going into the Windows Task Manager and shutting down the
process which SOMETIMES needs to be done) when I show up in the morning
Outlook has magically opened up again...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
John

are you using a sync utility for a pda or mobile device?
what brand of computer is it? What os? One brand has a bios problem that
causes the default email client to load on boot.

I leave my office computer on overnight and every morning when I come in
Outlook has been started. Sometimes after I shutdown Outlook I have to go
into and the Windows Task Manager and shut down the process...not
always...but even when I do this it is mysteriously started backup again
in the morning...
What is happening?
Thanks,
John
